All of PORTA's meal options should take less than 15 minutes to cook. They require some cooking time in the oven or on the stovetop to bring your meal alive and activate all its delicious flavours.

PORTA's products are all freshly made by hand at our kitchen in Toronto and then flash frozen to lock that flavour in.
We source all of our ingredients directly from trusted partners - many of whom are from Italy. Our flour for our Roman-style stirata pizzas comes from a 3rd generation family-run mill in Le Marche, our San Marzano tomatoes come from Campania, and our extra-virgin olive oil is made by a close family friend in Puglia.
We then package all of that delicious food into a box using freezer-grade insulation, keep it cold with dry ice, and deliver it to your door safely.
All of PORTA's items arrive frozen, shrink wrapped and using minimal and mostly recyclable materials.
To ensure you maintain the quality of our ingredients, please keep everything in your freezer until they are ready to cook.
You may choose to keep your desserts in the freezer for longer shelf life, or in the fridge if you plan to eat them within a few days.
The cost depends on the size of the box you choose and which items are in that box. We offer a box with 6, 9, or 15 dishes and they can be filled using your choice of pizzas, pastas and desserts.
Pizzas are $11.99, Pasta (2 servings) is $18.99, and our dessert pack (4 servings) is $13.99.
The minimum cost, then, for a 6-item box of pizzas is $71.94.

No, there is no minimum subscription length.
Once you subscribe to one of our plans, you can easily skip a delivery week, pause your account, or cancel your subscription entirely. Just make sure you do so before your selection deadline, which is Monday at 11:59PM EST on the week of your delivery.
The health and safety of our team is one of our top priorities. We ensure that all our employees are equipped with the proper materials to protect them from Covid-19. This includes providing them with masks, eyewear protection, and reinforcing proper social distancing measures. Additionally, we have daily health screenings to ensure everyone is working in a safe, covid-free environment. Our courriers also practice contact-free delivery by leaving your Porta box at your front door while respecting social distancing protocols.

Our PORTA boxes come with thermal insulation and dry ice to ensure that your products stay frozen.
Everything else that comes in the box is decided entirely by you!
You can order our small box with 6 items, our medium with 9 items, or our large with 15 items.
The serving size of our menu items vary per product.
One of our pizzas will serve one person, one order of pasta will serve two people, and our desserts serve 4.
For 2 people, our small box would be a great option. This box will come with 6 items of your choice, which may include any combination of pastas, pizzas, and/or dessert!
For 4 people, our medium box would be a great option. This box will come with 9 items of your choice, which may include pastas, pizzas, and/or dessert!

The minimum purchase required is our small box in which you can choose any 6 menu items. You can decide if you want to receive this box on either a weekly or bi-weekly basis!
To choose your menu items prior to delivery, you will have up until your selection deadline. Your selection deadline will be Monday at 11:59PM EST on the week of your delivery.
All of PORTA's pizzas and pastas should be put into your freezer immediately and cooked from frozen - no need to thaw them out first. Our desserts should be thawed out at room temperature at least 1 hour prior to eating.
Your PORTA food arrives frozen because of the magic of dry ice. Though it's great at keeping your order frozen, it can be dangerous as well. Please follow these instructions to ensure your dry ice is disposed of correctly:
1. After unpacking and placing your food in the freezer, set your PORTA box aside in a well-ventilated place, leaving the dry ice inside.
2. Please do not touch the dry ice, and keep out of reach of children and pets. Also be sure to keep it off any surfaces that might get damaged due to its cold temperature.
3. After a few hours, the dry ice will disappear on its own and you can recycle the packaging.
Yes, our PORTA boxes are 100% recyclable. After you leave the dry ice packages in the box for a few hours to dissipate, you can go ahead and recycle the entire box.
We work hard to source the best packaging materials that keep our products fresh and minimize the impact those materials have on the environment.
All of our packaging is 100% recyclable, except for the stickers found on the pizzas and pasta sauce packaging. With this said, remove these stickers and dispose them in the garbage, and then proceed to recycle everything else.
Recyclable items include: Porta box and insulation, pizza and pasta sauce plastic wrap, pasta containers, dessert containers and dessert sleeve.
Sustainability is one of our top priorities at PORTA. We believe that frozen, ready-to-cook meals that are perfectly portioned and using minimal packaging helps reduce waste and ensures food doesn't go bad.

Yes, we have done extensive testing to ensure that your product is safe and arrives frozen thanks to the thermal insulation and dry ice used in our PORTA boxes. If you are not happy with how your box arrived, please let us know by sending us a note here.
No need to worry, we know your life is busy and that is why we've designed our packaging to keep our products frozen for up to 28 hours.
Our courier will leave your PORTA box on your porch or in your lobby, and it will be there waiting for you when you arrive home! If you have specific delivery instructions for us, please update those in your account settings.
As of now all of PORTA's deliveries will occur once a week on Thursday's between 8:00am and 8:00pm EST.

Your PORTA delivery will arrive at your front door any time between 8:00am and 8:00pm EST on the Thursday of your delivery week. If you're not home at the time of delivery, no need to worry, your box will be waiting for you when you get back!
Your PORTA box will be packed on Wednesday night and then delivered to you between 8:00am EST and 8:00pm EST on Thursday. Rest assured that your PORTA meals will stay completely frozen during transit. Our team has done extensive tests and research to make sure all items can stay frozen for up to 28 hours in our boxes.
At the moment, we do not provide driver tracking information. But, you should expect your order to arrive any time between 8:00am and 8:00pm EST on the Thursday of your delivery week. No need to worry if you're not home when your PORTA box arrives - it will be waiting for you at your front door once your back!
Firstly, double check everything in the box - some items may be hiding behind one another. If you still can't find it, we apologize - we know how frustrating this can be. Please contact our customer service team as soon as possible so that we can look into the issue immediately and make things right.
Yes, you can receive deliveries in your condo. In fact, most of our customers live in apartments or condos. Please ensure to specify your unit # in the delivery instructions!
We like to focus on what we do best - making you delicious Italian food! While we do that, we partner with a local courier service in the GTA and they pick up and drop off your orders.
We strive to provide our customers with an enjoyable and seamless experience. We apologize in advance if you did not receive the correct items! Please contact our support team as soon as possible so that we can solve this problem and get the correct items to you.
All payment is done online through your PORTA account. After you choose a subscription plan, you will be prompted to add a shipping address and then add a payment method. Your card will then be charged after the selection deadline passes for each order. We accept most major credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, American Express), PayPal, and Visa Debit cards.

When you place your first order, you will be charged immediately after. Then, based on your subscription plan you will be charged right after your selection deadline passes (Monday at 11:59pm EST on the week of your delivery).
After this deadline passes and your card has been charged, we begin to prepare your PORTA box filled with all of the delicious meals you have selected!

You can make any changes to your order as long as it's done before your selection deadline (Monday at 11:59PM EST, on the week of your delivery). We begin to prepare your order immediately after this deadline passes. This said, we won't be able to make any changes to it and your chosen payment method will be charged.
The good news is, your PORTA meals will last in the freezer for 90 days (Pasta and Dessert) to 1 year (Pizzas), so even if you forgot to skip a week, your meals will stay fresh in your freezer until you're ready to enjoy them!
If you forgot to select items for your delivery, we'll be sending you the same menu items as your last order!
Yes! Through your account settings you can easily add any specific instructions for delivery and any other notes you may want your driver to have regarding your order. Simply login to your account, click "Shipping Info" and update any info/instructions wanted.
